The collection contains miscellaneous items from the files of the Journal of the American Rhododendron Society including a patent application by George G. Nearing; a report on the state of the Rhododendron Society of Canada; an article by Dan E. Mayers "Rhododendrons in the British Isles--an irreverent approach"' and an article "Cangshan; the report of the Sino-British expedition to China, 1981." Of interest is a copy of a letter from Prince Albert to Lady Stair, and her reply, humorously mentioning the names of many rhododendron species, ca. 1931.
